Jeanne Louise Salyer
Jeanne Louise Salyer, 55, of Goliad, passed away June 8, 2017 after a brief illness.
Jeanne was born July 13, 1961 in Guam. She was a devoted wife, and grandmother. Jeanne retired in February after working at the Capitol of Texas where she served for 24 years as an assistant to the Honorable Sharon Keller, Presiding Judge of the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals.
Jeanne was preceded in death by her brother, David. She is survived by her husband of 13 years, Jimmy Salyer, father, Al Akin, mother, Venus Akin, brother, Jeff Akin, stepdaughter Candace Garcia (Fernando), and grandchildren, Isaiah, Elijah, and Josiah. She also leaves behind her beloved fur babies, Roscoe P Coaltrain and Dixie Rae.
Serving as pallbearers are Kevin Martin, Marshall Henson, Llano Baumgartner, Fritz Baumgartner, James Andres, and Kavin Bizzell. Honorary pallbearers are all of Jeanne’s beloved family and friends.
A visitation will be held from 5:00-6:30 on Thursday, June 15th at Grace Funeral Home, 214 N. Market St. in Goliad, Texas. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 16th at 10:00 AM at Grace Funeral Home, Reverend Bette Burris presiding, with burial to follow at Salyer Cemetery at 4595 Franke Road.
