Victoria – Milton Brooks of Inez, Texas, formerly of Goliad, Texas, passed away Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at the age of 78. He was born October 4, 1938 in Longview, Texas to the late William Washington and Gladys Inez Brooks.
He was a hard worker having spent his working career serving his community as a police officer, oilfield worker and rancher. He was also an avid sports fan and a dedicated member of the Goliad Masonic Lodge where he served as Master.
Milton is survived by his daughters, Kimberly Heibel and husband Jonathan, and Jennifer Burris and husband James; sons, Gerrold Belk and wife Karen, Bill Brooks and wife Brenda, and Sean Brooks and wife Tammy; grandchildren, William Jr., Bart, Cody, Jeremy, Ryan, Jacob, Jaymie, Jessica, Jon, Summer, Brooke, Kaylyn, Daniel and Sara; great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Hannah, Harper, Luke, Eleanor, Rhett and Elena; forever friend, Mary Agnes King; favorite Aunt Bobbye Blakey; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 2, 2017 from 10:00 – 11:00 am with a funeral service at 11:00 am at Grace Funeral Home, 2401 Houston Highway, Victoria.
A private burial will be held later.
