Amy Kalmus

Amy Kalmus
Amy Lynn (Williamson) Kalmus, age 48, was welcomed into Heaven by her Heavenly Father on Friday the 6th of April with her loving husband of 28 years, Joe Fred Kalmus, by her side. Amy was born on September 19th, 1969 in Lubbock, Texas. She had a great love for her family including sons Jared, Corey, and Colton (Ericka). Most of all she loved her grandson Hayden who brought so much happiness and joy into his grandmother’s life.

Amy is proceeded in death by her brothers Kelley Williamson and Todd Williamson.

She is survived by her parents, Marvin and Linda Williamson, her brother David (Starlet) Williamson, her parents-in-law Dorothy and Joe Kalmus Sr., her brother-in-law Richard (Zina) Kalmus, and sister-in-law Cyndi Beach.

Amy and Joe celebrated life with multiple trips to the Frio River and Lake LBJ with family and friends. As President of Northwest Little League and repeated team mom, Amy never missed any of her children’s many sporting events including football, basketball, and baseball games as well as track meets.
She spent the last 15 years as a Children and Youth Director in several Lutheran and Baptist churches. Amy ran numerous church camps and vacation bible schools. Above all, she loved spending time with children and had a true passion for teaching the youth about Jesus’s life and love, touching many lives along the way.

Amy’s body will be lying in state starting at 12:00 pm at Northside Baptist Church on Wednesday, April 11th. Visitation will begin at 2:00 pm with a service to follow at 3:00 pm with Rev. J.V. Helms, officiating. Interment will be held at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
