James Ray Saski, 62, a native Texan, of Victoria passed away at his home, Wednesday, April 10, 2018. Family and friends will gather for visitation, Friday, April 13th from 5:00PM to 7:00PM at Grace Funeral Home in Victoria. A service celebration of James’ life, Saturday, April 14th at 10AM at Grace Funeral Home in Victoria. Burial will follow at Wood-Hi Cemetery.
James was born April 11, 1955 to late James and Janette Key Saski. James served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He worked for over 20 years in the oilfield as a derrickman. During his years in the oilfield he worked for Saw Drilling, Acorn Drilling, and South Texas Drilling. James had passion in life for spending time on the water, fishing and spending time with family and friends. He had a heart of gold and will be truly missed. James is preceded in death by his parents, James and Janette Saski; sister, Gayle Richey; wife, Katherine Saski in 2010 and his son, Jonathan Saski.
James leaves to cherish his memory his children, Elysia Beyer and husband, Marty, James “JJ” Saski and wife Nittaya, Shelby Evans, Chrystal Garcia, Leroy Fitzgerald and wife Lydia, James Ray Williams Saski and wife Gina, Jessica Saski, and Nicole Canales and husband Andres; siblings and their families, Debbie Simmons, Joni Yarbrough Jesse Saski, Roy Higdon, and Zella Higdon; 19 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren; along with numerous other family and friends.
Memorial donations should be made to the family to help defray expenses.
