Obituary for Elmire Cash

Elmire  Cash
Elmire Summers Cash, a young 90 years, departed this earthly world on Saturday, June 16, 2018, in Victoria, Texas due to a sudden illness.

Elmire was born October 8, 1927 in Cuero, Texas, to the late E. T. Sr. and
Albertine Summers. Mama married the late T.C. Sr. in 1948 and five children were born from this union. Children are Pam Beyer (Charlie) of Calallen; T.C. Jr. (Cindy) of Cedar Park; twins Claude (Kathy) of Bryan, and Claudia Burch (Charlie) of Cuero; and Renee Goetz (Kenneth) of Victoria.

Memaw left behind her nine cherished grandchildren, Brian Cash Leander;
Wade Beyer (Freddy), Misty Clark (David), and Megan Fisk (Travis), all of Houston; Eric Cash (Shelly) of Copperas Cove; Kyle Goetz (Jessica) of San Antonio; Craig Goetz (Bernice) of Victoria; Tyler Cash and Tara Baros (Taylor), both of Austin. Step-grandchildren are Becky Tamez (Pete), and Stacey McMannes, both of Cedar Park. She also had five beloved great-grandchildren, Lacey and Addison Cash, Keegan and Cooper Clark, and Alexandra Goetz.

Mama also left behind a sister-in-law, numerous nephews and nieces, her long time
family friends, Susie Sonntag and Jim Garcia, and her beloved Shih Tzu, Schatzi.

Preceding Elmire in death are her siblings E. T. Jr., Buddy Sr., Genevieve, and Paul Sr.

If you knew our mama well, you would know that she was strong-willed. Mama was of means but married an enlisted man for love. She had a book by Sarah Palin on her shelf right next to Brokeback Mountain. Mama was in DC for the Truman inauguration. In her 80's she went adventuring in Alaska. She gave the world artists, soldiers, sailors, nurses, actors, dancers, photographers, teachers and musicians. Mama finished giving on the afternoon of June 16, 2018.

Visitation will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 23, 2018 at Grace Memorial Chapel, 8819 U.S. Hwy. 87 North, Victoria. Funeral service at 12:00 p.m. followed by burial at Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to SPCA of Texas.

Services are entrusted to Grace Memorial Chapel. To leave a comforting message, or to share a fond memory, please visit www.gracefuneralhome.net.
