She was a smart, strong, independent, hardworking, fearless woman; traits that she passed on to her children. She was retired from Alcoa in 1995 after almost 20 years of loyal service. She also enjoyed several years working in law enforcement where she served as a dispatcher and deputy. Peggy was extremely proud to have attended the Fire Fighters training center in College Station.
Her hobbies included rock painting (animals), painting tiny wooden boxes with bees/flowers, creating jewelry crosses/shadowboxes, making photo albums, covering bird houses out of broken china pieces, and decorating little bird cages complete with flowers and birds. She loved sharing all of her creations with family and friends. Peggy enjoyed parties, dancing, and visiting with those she loved. She could tell a story, full with every detail, and had an iron-clad memory. Peggy prided herself in a beautifully decorated home during Christmastime. One of her favorite past times was watching her “Soaps”, Westerns and Homicide shows. Her favorite viewing pleasure was observing the birds and squirrels while relaxing in her recliner.
