Lana LaDean Horadam, 68, of Victoria, passed away peacefully, Saturday, September 1, 2018, surrounded by her loving family. Lana’s family and friends will gather for visitation, Wednesday, September 5, 2018 from 5:00PM to 7:00PM at Grace Funeral Home, 2401 Houston Hwy. in Victoria. A service celebrating Lana’s life and her faith will be held at 10AM, Thursday, September 6, 2018, in the chapel at Grace Funeral Home with Pastor Fred Hobbs officiating. Burial will follow at Coletoville Cemetery with The Reverend James DeMent officiating.
Lana was born September 16, 1949 in Henryetta, Oklahoma to the late James E. and Virginia Sparks Burden. Lana had a beautiful talent for cross stitch, making numerous pieces over the years that family and friends will cherish. Lana married her love, John Horadam, February 3, 1968. Together they enjoyed traveling and spending time at their home in the country. In 1971, Lana began working for the Texas Refinery Corporation. Over the years she worked in different divisions for the company, both domestic and international. Retiring in 2012, after over 40 years with the company she was Assistant Vice President of Sales in Protective Coating. Lana loved to be surrounded by nature and animals, especially her deer. She was an avid sports fan, enjoyed watching the Olympics, college football and tennis. Watching the old classic movies brought Lana great joy, she also enjoyed music, both performance and composition. Another of Lana’s many talents was singing in the choir. Her special zeal for life and her many talents will be truly missed. Lana was preceded in death by her parents, Sonny Burden and Virginia Fowler; and her daughter, Tracy Horadam.
Lana is survived by her husband of over 50 years, John Horadam; and her daughter, Paige Horadam; several nieces and nephews; along with numerous loving church friends and long time work colleagues.
