Andrew Gary
Andrew Lee Gary, 57 was born on August 2, 1961 to Alice Nixon Gary and Clarence Gary in Victoria, Texas. During his early life he was educated in Victoria Independent Schools and was a 1980 graduate of Stroman High School. He moved away to Houston, Texas and lived there for 20 years. He was employed by the Sandoval’s and also worked in security at The Galleria Mall in Houston for 17 years. His work also included Nursing Home Care & Citizens Medical Center.

Seeing the need for Salvation as a child, Andrew attended Mt. Calvary Baptist church under the Leadership of Rev. Elliot. In his later years he also enjoyed worship services at Victory Christian Life Center pastored by Sam & Ada Hooker. Andrew enjoyed working with the young people and often worked with “Teens Grounded.”

One of the biggest “joys of his life” was decorating with his beloved grandmother Irie Nixon. He enjoyed traveling and took a trip of a lifetime to London, England. He also had a passion for reading and loved cooking gourmet styled cuisine. Andrew was a very witty and wise person. He was intelligent, articulate, full of humor and he loved to make others laugh as well. He simply enjoyed life. To know Andrew was to know someone who cared about people and his love for the simple things in life which often included his favorite sandwich in the world “Peanut Butter”! Another one of his favorite foods was his Mama's Pinto beans. You could often find him talking about, the Latest News Headlines of the Day and testing some ones knowledge on all things Political and his favorite singer “The Boss, Diana Ross”. He lived his life in a Light-hearted way.
