Dawn Nordeen Weatherford moved to Victoria in 1981 from El Campo where she graduated from El Campo High School and attended Wharton County Junior College and Victoria College. Dawn has two children; daughter, Tiffany Dawn, who lives in El Campo and son and daughter-in-law, Jonathan Royal and Cortney  and their daughter Reiley who live in El Campo.

In 2006, after 20 years of working in retail, Dawn found her calling when she was fortunate to join the Grace Funeral Home family. The ability to serve families during a time of need is both a blessing an is very rewarding.

Dawn is a 13 year member of Pilot Club of Victoria, Texas District of Pilot International, where she has served in many capacities, including Club President, Treasurer, Secretary, a member of the Board of Directors, and Project Coordinator for the Texas District. She volunteers her time helping to raise money for various organizations in the Victoria Community. She also enjoys reading, traveling, movies, antiques and most important spending time with her children , family and friends.

One of Dawn's favorite quotes that relates to her life is; "If a true sense of value is to be yours, it must come through service."

Jean Gossett Theus has been a resident of Victoria since 1945. Jean graduated from Victoria High School in 1960 and has been involved in every class reunion they have had.

She is married to Don Theus who worked at and retired from Union Carbide. They have been married for 54 years and have 3 girls, Terri Mason, Debbie Moran, both of Victoria and Robin Theus of Dallas. They have five grandchildren.

Her family ran a business in Victoria for 46 years, where she worked 15 years while raising her family.   Then she worked for First Victoria National bank and retired after 14 years. Not enjoying retirement life, she ventured into the funeral business on a part-time basis.  Enjoying the work so much she is now almost a full time employee.  Jean is a licensed to sell Pre-Arranged Funeral Plans.

Ralph joined the Grace Funeral Home family on July 4, 2011. He was born in San Antonio and moved with his family to Victoria in July 1958. From 1963-1965, Ralph attended Victoria College, He then went to work at E.I. DuPont where he retired after 37 years as a Planner and Scheduler.
Ralph is married to Margaret and they have four children, Robert, Allyson, Brandon and Barrett. In addition they have two grandchildren, David and Sara.
He is a member of the Knights of Columbus and he is also a member of the Golden Crescent Antique Automobile Club of America.

William "Bill" Crandall, Funeral Assistant

William Crandall, a funeral assistant at Grace Funeral Home brings with him years of experience as a wedding and bereavement minister at Saint Matthew Church in Orange, CA where he served for 12 years. He received his B.A. in Christian Ministry at Anaheim Christian College, followed by a two year internship at Open Door Church in San Antonio, TX.

Bill was also involved in single parenting and divorce dare ministries. Since high school he has had a passion for music as a vocalist and guitar player. He kept involved over the years as a worship leader and vocalist as a part of his involvement at church. Bill’s real love, though, is people. He enjoys working with and helping others any way he can. He has found personal satisfaction working for Grace, helping them meet the needs of their families.

Bill and his wife, Laura, moved to Victoria, TX in the fall of 2009. They have four grown children and 7 grandchildren.

Sylvia lived along the gulf coast graduated from Rockport-Fulton High School. She married her Calhoun High School sweetheart, Billy Faltesek and they celebrated 43 years of marriage in November. Billy works at Wal-Mart and is the pastor of Grace Community Church.  Their children are Billy Ray, Jr., Candice and her husband Daniel and their son Truett.

Sylvia worked in the medical field for 20 years. When she lost her dad to cancer in 1998, the staff at the funeral home was so nice that she started praying about the possibility of a career change. In 2004, the doctor she worked for moved out of state and she went to work as an independent sales contractor.  Sylvia was introduced to Charles Hauboldt after 13 years of prayer and offered a job at Grace Funeral Chapel.

She enjoys her grandson, cooking for family and friends, reading, scrapbooking and her church family.

Sylvia thanks God for His grace in her life, for her church Grace Community and for the opportunity to work for Grace Funeral Home.

Elaine joined Grace Funeral Home Chapel ~ Port Lavaca in the summer of 2015. She was born in Mobile, AL the sixth of seven children and grew up in a small farm town in Harleston, MS where she graduated from East Central High School in 1972 and was voted "Most likely to succeed". She attended Liberty Bible College in Mobile for several semesters however, due to financial hardship in the family she had to enter the work force. Most recently she worked from 2005-2011 with Pilot Catastrophe Services (Hurricane Events) in various states.

She and her husband Jerry Mauer have been married 17 years.  Together they have 4 children. Elaine’s son is serving in the U.S. Army mastering the language of Arabic for future deployment. They are blessed with four grandchildren.

She is involved with Meals on Wheels, is a private caregiver, an Ambassador with Port Lavaca Chamber of Commerce, on the Praise Team at Grace Community Church and supports Hope Cancer Retreat for MD Anderson Cancer patients. Elaine enjoys the simple pleasures of gardening, canning, baking and treasures family and friends.

Jeanie was born into a funeral home life. Her father, Adolph “Buddy” Zavesky Jr., has been a funeral director for her entire life.  She even lived above a funeral home until she was around 8 years old. So she is familiar with all aspects of the funeral process because of her family and how she was raised.

She graduated from Goliad High School in 1993 and then received a Bachelor’s Degree from University of Houston-Victoria in 1998.  

Jeanie loves Harley Davidson motorcycles, the San Antonio Spurs basketball team, and Country music.
